Web Typography Sucks: SXSW 2007

Web Typography Sucks

As I fall further away from the design side of web design, I find it just as refreshing to get schooled in the rules as it is to be taken aback by a stunning design. It reminds me of the days when I was passionate about such things (of course, those days I also swore off Web as a legitimate medium).

I just had one such refreshing moment when I came across Rchard Rutter and Mark Boulton’s talk entitled “Web Typography Sucks”, given at this year’€™s SXSW Interactive conference.

An mp3 of the talk and corresponding pdf are available here, along with some other great resources. I highly recommend taking the time to click along to the audio if you can.

EDIT: A List Apart has chimed in with mostly the same article.
