Reactable vs. the Poly.Touch

I followed a few links from the comments on a post about the Poly.Touch found on NotCot today, and wound up looking at this instead: the Reactable. Watch it in action: Apparently it’s not exactly new (posted October 25, 2006!), but it’s new to me!

Skeleton Boy Video Made Me Smile

I really really want to recreate this video at home, but I think I would be in a ton of trouble: Friendly Fires ‘Skeleton Boy’ by Clemens Habicht from Nexus Productions on Vimeo.

Music Animation Machine

Watching this visualization of a piano piece has me just a mesmerized as watching the internal workings of an old music box. It’s a demonstration of a piece of software called Music Animation Machine. It’s the same concept, but with a longer piece and the addition of color:

Radiohead’s “Nude (Big Ideas)” on Old Computer Equipment

You’ve probably all heard about Radiohead’s little game of letting anyone remix their single, “Nude”, but this one takes it to a whole other level. Heima Trailer (Sigur Rós movie)

My little brother just directed me to the official movie site for “Heima”, a film documenting Sigur Rós’s Icelandic homecoming tour. It looks to be a nice mix of interviews, live footage, and stark wide angle shots of some simply amazing outdoor vistas. The cinematography looks absolutely stunning. Although to be fair, that little island just [...]
