Watching this visualization of a piano piece has me just a mesmerized as watching the internal workings of an old music box. It’s a demonstration of a piece of software called Music Animation Machine. It’s the same concept, but with a longer piece and the addition of color:

Radiohead’s “Nude (Big Ideas)” on Old Computer Equipment

You’ve probably all heard about Radiohead’s little game of letting anyone remix their single, “Nude”, but this one takes it to a whole other level. James Houston played forced the tracks out of old and abused computer equipment (or at least sampled them).

He had this to say about the idea:

This was quite a difficult task for everybody that entered, as Nude is in 6/8 timing, and 63bpm… …I decided to take the piss a bit, as the contest seemed to be in that spirit.

“Fully Flared” Intro Squence (Lakai Skate movie)

Apparently this is the intro sequence to a Lakai Footwear skate movie titled Fully Flared. Very well done. Be sure to stick around long enough to catch the finale:

This just in: Saw on some other posts that the explosion at the end is quite real:

“the most dangerous part of the introduction was Mike Mo Capaldi’s switch flip, which was followed by a staircase being blown up with napalm”

Also it was directed by Spike Jones, and as you’ve probably figured out by now, the music is by M83.
